With virtual construction tools, we build, analyze, and resolve issues in a digital environment (BIM) before construction begins, saving time and money. We foster innovation, enabling us to do things in new ways and help clients to realize new opportunities and achieve better outcomes. Web-based collaboration keeps project data at your fingertips in real time. Mobile tools add flexibility and adaptability on the job site. Laser scanning and total robotic stations improve accuracy and quality, while digital operations & maintenance manuals offer lasting access to your project data, long after the building is complete.

We use a systematic approach to managing health and safety risks through mentoring, training, and progress tracking. The voluntary program engages everyone in the process of identifying, assessing, and controlling risk. We use this approach in all regions, seeking continuous improvement in safe work practices.

Both our directors and staff are totally client and project-focused and always strive to instill a positive and collaborative attitude on every project. Creating a positive health and safety environment on every project is at the forefront of our thinking. This includes the presentation of our sites and the workplace, which are hugely important to our business and help to create a positive working environment.

In operation for over a decade now, we are a general contractor with a focus on new build hotels, retail, service stations and medical offices. We are committed to providing the necessary components to finish each project successfully, and always tailor our services to meet each client’s unique needs and requirements. We are firmly of the belief that client satisfaction is the cornerstone of our success.

As a company, we utilize our engineering expertise to provide effective solutions to any challenging tasks that we encounter during the project lifecycle. During the preconstruction phase, we focus our attention on identifying any unknown or unforeseen elements of a project and incorporate preemptive solutions into the construction plan at an early phase of a project’s life cycle. We implement our value engineering strategy during the design phase to reduce any unnecessary project costs and ultimately reduce costs for our clients without ever compromising on safety or quality.

Our team understands the complex dynamic between initial investment, operational costs and importantly, open market value. We use strategic risk management to identify, measure, and mitigate the risks involved in a project. We utilize the Lean Construction method to achieve the best possible outcomes with a focus on increasing a client’s return on their investment.

OUR TEAM

Ron Patel – President

Ron Patel is the President of Mycroft Construction Inc. He has a master’s degree in Structural Engineering and a master’s in Enterprise Risk Management from Columbia University. Ron is adept with analytics and problem-solving. His vast experience in the construction industry allows him to always keep the client’s project within the desired budget. He is proficient with Value Engineering, so he accounts for unforeseen site conditions at the early phase of a project life cycle to mitigate project risk. His natural charisma enables him to maintain great relationships with contractors and suppliers alike, to keep them on board for all future projects. Ron’s business motto is that great business relationships with subcontractors and suppliers allow for a smooth project delivery, beneficial cost savings, and produces a quality product.

Amber Denise – Project Coordinator 

Amber is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who is doing a Bachelor of  Science in Business Administration, at UNC Pembroke University. As a Project Coordinator Amber brings a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in project management and quality control practices to our team. In her role, Amber is pivotal in streamlining project operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all trades. Her key responsibilities include obtaining bids, contract implementation, compliance management, and recordkeeping. 

Jose Alfaro – Construction Supervisor

Jose is a seasoned Construction Supervisor with expertise in all forms of framing. He supports superintendents by keeping trades on track and ensuring task completion. Key responsibilities include monitoring attendance, ensuring compliance, and resolving on-site miscommunications. Jose maintains job site cleanliness, conducts weekly material inventories, and takes daily progress photos. He tracks subcontractors’ activities, verifies received materials, and enforces safety standards. With a focus on efficiency and safety, Jose ensures the job site remains clear and operational.

Jesus Bustillo – Construction Foreman

Jesus Bustillo is a skilled foreman with extensive experience in framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and a wide range of miscellaneous construction tasks. Known for his versatility and dedication, Jesus is always ready to take on assigned activities, ensuring smooth coordination and support for other trades on-site. With his hands-on expertise and team-focused mindset, he plays a pivotal role in driving project efficiency and quality craftsmanship.

Christy K. Hanthorn – Web Editor and Strategy Consultant

Christy brings more than two decades of experience authoring business and industry documentation while also teaching in higher education. She enjoys collaborating with subject matter experts and developing content and corporate training. Christy holds a BA and MA in English/Technical Communication from ECU and a Master’s certificate in Technology & Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill.
